Wednesday, May 18, 2016, 12:47 PM – Scientists from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) recently discovered a beautiful, UFO-shaped jellyfish while exploring the Mariana Trench approximately 3.5km below the water’s surface.

The jellyfish was filmed during a dive of NOAA’s 2016 Deepwater Exploration of the Marianas.

I have to say… that is one astounding animal!!

We had our ‘Big Box’ (60 gallon Starfire Cube) Jellyfish Aquarium out and on display at the Durham Aquarium Show & Auction last weekend. We had LOTS of interest and positive feedback! Thanks for that!! And, thank you to Frank (the show organizer) for telling so many people that we’d be there.

The new Magnetic Brine Shrimp eggs were a big hit too. Thanks to all of the fish breeders associated with the auction.

There was an unbelievable number of fish and aquarium items up for auction! Drawing a huge number of people to the show.
